Beavers is for boys and girls aged 6 to 8. Beavers is all about playing, learning and meeting new people. We do lots of fun activities like games of dodge ball and tig. We go to the park for nature hunts and learn how to do first aid. We make pizza, have sleep overs and have parties for Halloween.

Section nights during term time at the scout hall:

Wednesday evening (6.30pm – 7.45pm)

Thursday evening (6.30pm – 7.30pm) 

 

Cubs is for boys and girls aged 8 to 10 ½.

Meetings involve fun, learning and challenging activities. We go camping, have outdoor adventures such as hiking, canoeing and climbing and learn how to contribute to our community in a positive way. We also learn valuable practical skills such as safety awareness, creativity and social interaction.

Monday evening (6.30pm – 8.00pm)

Tuesday evening (7.00pm – 8.30pm) 

 

Scouts is for boys and girls aged 10 ½ to 14. Scouts offers opportunities to develop a range of practical skills in an exciting environment. They get involved in the planning and developing of activities, learn the importance of team work and take part in trips and international camps such as Croatia, where the group went in 2018.

Tuesday evening (8.00pm – 9.30pm) 

Wednesday evening (7.45pm – 9.45pm) 

 

Explorers is for boys and girls aged 14 to 18.

Our Explorers section further develops important life skills such as leadership, teamwork and events planning, whilst exploring both locally and internationally. We go on exciting expeditions, get involved in volunteering and community projects and offer opportunities to gain prestigious awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or the Queen’s Scout Award. Explorers can also join the Young Leader Scheme. All great for your CV!
