Volunteer

Our Scout Group relies entirely on volunteers and we welcome any offers of additional resource.

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities. From occasional involvement with the sections and events to formal roles as a Section Leader or member of the Executive Committee, there’s a role for everyone!

If you would like to volunteer for one of our current opportunities or register your interest in helping at Section Meetings or events please contact us at 175group@175thGlasgo.onmicrosoft.com.

Posts are on a voluntary basis.

Current opportunities:

  • Fire Safety Officer – This role involves carrying out the annual fire safety check for the scout hall, following the guidance provided by the Scout Association.
  • Ordinary Members – We welcome any volunteers who would like to join the Committee as Ordinary Members. As an Ordinary Member you can get involved in a wide range of activities such as updating our website, applying for grants, arranging maintenance for the hall or assisting with outings. We can find a role or tasks to match your skills and interests.
  • Section Leaders – We are always in need of leaders and assistant leaders to help with the scouting sections. Weekly or fortnightly help is welcomed.
